Case Histories by Kate Atkinson
I must say I was dissatisfied by this book. I guess it’s a literary thriller and maybe a bit too literary for me to appreciate (my tastes are more mainstream – as you can see from the other entries on this blog).
The book alternates viewpoints and takes you through three missing person cases and then connects them through private detective Jackson Brodie, who is looking into all of them.
I kept going thinking it would pick up, but it never did for me. It’s well-written and other people I know have enjoyed it. A colleague read another work by the author, which also stars Jackson, and said it’s good, so perhaps I’ll give that a try.
