Classic Crave: Bread Alone by Judith Ryan Hendricks

Wyn is a 31 year old almost divorced housewife and finds herself directionless when her husband of 7 years announces he needs space. She travels to Seattle to visit her best friend and falls in love with the Queen Street Bakery. They offer her a job baking bread (she had learned in France) so Wyn decides to start a new life in Seattle.

I really enjoyed the Seattle location and the description of bread baking.

The sequel is The Baker’s Apprentice which picks up where this leaves off and is very satisfying.
