Among the Mad by Jacqueline Winspear

This was the first Maisie Dobbs book that felt like a mystery and had a sense of urgency to it. Scotland Yard receives a threatening note, and because Maisie was at the scene of a suicide which might be connected, they summon her to help investigate the case.

I’ve enjoyed getting into the setting and time period and seeing Maisie develop over the course of six novels. I’ve also especially enjoyed the past two books because of Maisie’s friendship with Priscilla and I hope it continues.

I can’t wait for Maisie’s next adventure.
